About Food Innovation Online

 

After 20 years of working for and in the food industry, I founded the company Food Innovation Online in 2006.  Food Innovation Online provides Services to the Food Industry worldwide, making use of web based technologies.

Food Innovation Online offers the following products:

  • the Health and Safety Center, providing News and information for Food Industry Professionals. This is a subscription based service that covers topics related to Nutrition, Health, and Food Safety. 
  • PotatoPro, a free News and Information Service for the Potato Processing Industry.
  • Consultancy Services related to one or more of the following topics:
    • Health and Safety of food products
    • Radical Innovation of food processing or food products
    • Potato Processing

Health issues facing the Potato Processing Industry and how they can be addressed.

This presentation, by a well known industry 'name', will provide an overview of the health issues that the Potato Processing industry is confronted with: obesity, trans-fats, Acrylamide and more. Facts will be distinguished from fiction. Examples of how Potato Processing Organizations developed healthier potato products to overcome any negative images will be provided. Opportunities to emphasize the positive nutritional aspects of potato and potato products will be highlighted.

Paul van Eijck recently founded the company Food Innovation Online. Prior to starting Food Innovation Online, Paul worked for McCain Foods in Canada. For McCain, he established and managed a corporate research centre in their global headquarters location in Florenceville, New Brunswick. Prior to his move to Canada, Paul, who is a native of the Netherlands, was responsible for potato processing research at ATO-DLO in the Netherlands and has a degree in Food Processing from the Wageningen Agricultural University.

Food Innovation Online offers Consultancy Services and Information Products to help Food Companies to cope with the fast developments in the global food market. Information products developed so far include:
